Aquarian Drumheads Editorial Review
In an impressive collection of reviews, the Aquarian Drumheads Drumhead Pack SKI18 has garnered enthusiastic praise from drummers of varying levels of experience, particularly for its capacity to enhance the sound of smaller bass drums. A seasoned drummer with over 50 years of experience shared his journey with 18" bass drums, initially wary but ultimately thrilled by the tonal improvements offered by Aquarian’s Superkick I pack. This combination of heads is lauded for allowing the drum to resonate with its natural birch tone while avoiding excessive muffling that often accompanies drum head selections. The feedback highlights the heads' ability to maintain a pleasing balance of sound—neither overly muted nor excessively ringy, culminating in a rich, punchy tone ideal for both studio recordings and live performances. The reviewer specifically noted the ease of achieving a professional sound without the need for additional muffling, as the Aquarian heads provide just the right amount of decay. The product not only enhanced the 18" kick’s performance but also held its own alongside other Aquarian heads used on toms and snares, leading to complementary sound quality throughout the kit. Overall, the reception of the Aquarian Drumheads demonstrates their effectiveness in maximizing the sonic potential of smaller drums, making these heads a highly recommended choice for drummers seeking quality, depth, and clarity in their sound. **
