The Granite Ware F0559-2 Large Covered Oval Roasting Pan is a great option for cooking a large turkey or roast. Although the pan's size is advertised as an 18" cooking area, this measurement does not include the handles. Some buyers have found that they need to angle the pan in their oven to allow the lid to fit comfortably on large birds. The lid fits tightly and keeps the food moist while cooking. Customers also appreciate the pan's easy-to-clean surface, also safe for use with metal utensils. Some buyers have used this pan to cook other dishes, such as pork shoulders and baked beans. Unfortunately, there seems to be some confusion around the pan's size, and buyers should double-check whether their large birds will fit comfortably inside. While the pan should be safe to use on induction cooktops, it should not be used on glass cooktops. It is also not recommended to use this pan directly on an open fire, but it may work in a rack near the fire.
