After a year of use mine now doesn't remove the lid: it scores the metal and leaves spikey shards but the lid doesn't come off. Thoughts?
répondre: Mine does the same after a year. Cleaning the area that comes in contact with the can with a wet paper towel is helpful. Otherwise you can rotate the can while rotating the lever-not super pleasant but it works. -

répondre: No, but don't ask me why not, other than that it might be so tight a cut close to the cover that there is nothing to leave??? -

répondre: NO, I don't think it can be used on anything with a beveled (?) edge. -

répondre: We've had ours for several months and it still works as it has from the first day. It is a bit harder to crank than a traditional manual can opener, but not too bad. And the fact that it leaves no sharp edges and allows you to re-use the top is pretty handy.
