The Doors Format: Audio CD Die-Cut Cartridges Editorial Review
**** The "The Doors: A Collection [6CD]" brings together the iconic band’s first six albums, encapsulating the creativity and evolution of The Doors during Jim Morrison's lifetime. This collection is a treasure trove for both new listeners and long-time fans, offering an enriching experience with remastered audio that highlights the band’s musicianship and Morrison's hauntingly unique vocal delivery. Listeners laud the first album, “The Doors,” as a hallmark of rock history, celebrating its energy and standout tracks such as “Light My Fire” and “The End.” The follow-up album, “Strange Days,” while slightly less exhilarating, still maintains a compelling rock essence with tracks like “People Are Strange.” The collection further showcases the band's maturation with "Waiting For The Sun," where Morrison’s voice explores deeper territories, and "The Soft Parade," which, although not as universally acclaimed, is appreciated for its careful Construction and musicianship. Transitioning to "Morrison Hotel" and concluding with "L.A. Woman," the collection reaffirms The Doors' prowess in blending blues and rock. The latter’s standout tracks are remembered for their raw energy, contributing to an overall satisfying listening experience. Critically, reviewers made note of the accessibility of this collection, particularly in relation to the price point compared to purchasing the albums individually. The cardboard sleeves and booklet included in the packaging have been received positively, with many noting that the collection enhances appreciation for songs that have previously flown under their radar. In summary, "The Doors: A Collection [6CD]" stands as a solid representation of one of rock’s quintessential bands, providing remarkable audio quality and an comprehensive listening journey through some of the genre's most essential works. **
