The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 wireless over-ear headphones provide excellent sound quality, comparable to wired sets. They have zero-frequency and are comparable to studio monitors for music composition, but may not be suitable for obtaining a quality mix on any headphones. It has great passive noise-cancelling abilities and no active noise cancellation. The battery life is satisfactory and can be used wired even if the battery is dead. Physical buttons and an on/off indicator light are added, no gesture or tap controls. The headphones run smaller than the previous M50's and sound is worse while on a call. There are some issues with the Bluetooth function disconnecting on its own, and multi-point pairing stops working. The headphones are a bit uncomfortable for extended periods of use. The headphones are heavy and get hot in the ears pretty quickly.
