Many reviewers have expressed their excitement for owning this classic movie, often praising its nostalgic value and action-packed storyline. The film, which follows Navy pilot Maverick, is celebrated for its blend of drama, action, romance, and comedy, making it a beloved piece of cinema for many. The DVD quality itself has met with approval, with users mentioning that it plays well and retains its visual and audio integrity. Additionally, the special features included in the edition have been well-received, enhancing the overall experience for fans looking to delve deeper into the film's background and production. However, the DVD packaging has drawn criticism. Some customers reported issues with the DVD case, such as broken disc holders that led to discs falling out upon opening. Despite these quality control issues concerning the packaging, the content of the DVD remains a hit among audiences, with many affirming that the movie itself is a classic worth having in one’s collection. In summary, while the DVD case could use significant improvement, the film delivers everything fans expect from a high-octane, feel-good action movie starring Tom Cruise. **
