The saw has adequate plunge to accommodate a 12-inch blade even though the width of the cut from the backstop won't be as wide. It is not intended for cutting wood but various metals and masonry. The 45-degree cuts are accurate and it is recommended to check the accuracy with a square. Customer Experience: Most customers seem to be very satisfied with this product, particularly its affordability, quality, and design.
