Action & Adventure Editorial Review

Grind House: Death Proof / Planet Terror is an exhilarating collection of two iconic films that pay homage to classic exploitation cinema. This Blu-ray release features 'Planet Terror,' directed by Robert Rodriguez, and 'Death Proof,' directed by Quentin Tarantino, both packed with thrills and dark humor. Viewers are treated to over-the-top gore and nostalgia-inducing fake trailers, successfully capturing the spirit of late-night grindhouse flicks. Fans can expect a hilarious ride with wild character plots, as seen in the outrageous antics of a Go-Go dancer armed with a machine gun leg in 'Planet Terror.' Its unique presentation draws viewers in as it resembles the charm of traditional drive-in theaters. Although 'Death Proof' may slow at times with its dialogue-heavy scenes, both films offer a delightful cinematic experience for horror aficionados, making it a must-have for genre fans. The generous extras further enhance the viewing experience, making this Blu-ray a complete package.
