    répondre: It comes with everything that is needed. All you need to know is where the studs in your ceiling are and then pick the spot where you would like it. The installation instructions are included.
  • question: Is it 18 in. square & 24 in. hung from ceiling OR 24 in. square & 18 in. from ceiling OR 18 X 24 then however low or high you want to hang it?

    répondre: The dimensions of the frame are 18 in. by 24 inches. When installing it, it may be hung at any height from the ceiling. Plenty of chain was supplied so I was able to hang it from my 10 foot ceiling with no modifications (I was concerned I might have to acquire additional chain from a hardware store, but this was not necessary). If you have the more common 8 foot ceiling you will probably have more chain than you need.
  • question: How many eye bolts go into the ceiling? One for each chain? Or could you put up two, and have the pair of chains at the end go to one eye bolt?

    répondre: You definitely should and would want a chain per eye bolt. It has been great for me. I love it! Lots of compliments ;). You definitely want it to be secure. The weight should be dispersed evenly.

    répondre: Each of the 4 chains is 23 inches.

    répondre: Yes, it comes with everything needed to put it up. The chain supplied was twice as long as we needed to position it for easy access.
  • question: I bought this two years ago and absolutely love it. I lost my instructions, is there any way I can mount it to the wall like a shelf instead of hanging?

    répondre: I don't think very easily. It is made to specifically be supported at four corner points. The only way I can think of to use it as a shelf would be to have brackets that reach clear to the front corners away from the wall. Make sure the brackets are secured properly for the weight you plan to put on the shelf.
  • question: Love this rack, but am worried about the weight capacity. Will use much bigger eye hooks & all 4 screwed I beams. I need to hang a lot. Is 70lbs too much?

    répondre: My husband, who built custom homes, said as long as you screw the eye bolts into trusses, it could hold up to a maximum of 400 lbs. So get one and enjoy it, I love mine.
