The Marine Technologies MTI Industries 35-741-WT Detector is a reliable carbon monoxide and propane gas alarm. It is easy to install and comes in a white flush mount design that looks good on any wall. The alarm is a suitable replacement for OEM on coaches, and it monitors both carbon monoxide and lp gas fumes. The dimensions of the recessed body are approximately 6" x 1 7/8" x 1 1/4". However, it is not a direct replacement for the 30-442; the screw holes do not line up and do not cover the cutout. The company recommends changing the detector every five years, and it does not cover explosive gases like diesel but works well for detect carbon monoxide and propane gas. Customer Reviews: - Most customers found the product easy to install. - The majority of customers felt that it worked great and would highly recommend it. - However, one customer felt misled as the product was advertised as flush mount, but it is surface mount. - Some customers had issues with compatibility issues as they could not fit it as a direct replacement for their previous alarm. - One customer mentioned that they had replaced their unit multiple times and felt that it was not very durable.
