The shoulder straps are well-padded for comfort. Some minor gripes mentioned by users include the length of the main compression strap on the front of the pack, the absence of gear keepers on the extra webbing straps for the shoulder straps (which can be solved by using Velcro straps from another brand), and the lack of a frame (which can be addressed by adding a piece of Lexan for rigidity/structure).
