Anime Editorial Review

The Blu-ray release of "Rozen Maiden: Zuruckspulen" has garnered a mixed reception among customers, reflecting a blend of nostalgia and critique. Original fans of the series have expressed their admiration for the show, with many appreciating its captivating story and high-quality animation. For some, revisiting the series has rekindled fond memories from their childhood, and they find it just as enjoyable as before. However, there are notable criticisms regarding the character development and overall execution of the new installment. Some viewers feel that the characters' personalities have shifted, leading to a sense of disconnect from the beloved originals. This sentiment is compounded by the acknowledged differences resulting from a change in the production team and studio, which may have contributed to crucial alterations in the story’s tone and flow. While many loyal fans still see the value of watching "Zuruckspulen," there’s a prevailing sense that instead of a natural continuation, it serves more as a sideline to what they hope will be a proper return to the series’ roots. Thus, while the Blu-ray is enjoyed by some, it may not fully satisfy all who seek the charm and depth of the original series. **
