White Wizard Games Dedicated Deck Card Games Editorial Review
The Epic Card Game is a strategy card game that is not a trading/collectible card game but is more like an LCG, where everyone who buys this set gets the same cards. However, there are expansion packs available, but if you buy them, you get the same cards as everyone else who buys them. The game is best suited for two players and is a steal for under $15. The cards are of American card size, the gameplay is somewhat different from Star Realms, and the game contains no random booster packs. It is possible to play the game with more than one set of cards and in different formats. Although the recommended age says 13 and up, some parents successfully play it with their 10-year-olds. The Epic Card Game has several play styles, including a "Fully Constructed" play style where each player may Construct a 60 card deck with up to 3 copies of any given card.
