This tire carrier is well-made, sturdy and can fit any year of Jeep Wrangler JKU. However, the installation process is difficult, the brake light screws are useless and the wheel stud may break. If you plan to use it beyond 50 pounds of spare tire weight, this is a must-have upgrade, thanks to its higher load capacity and resting spare height increase. It is compatible with Mor/ryde HD Door hinges, but does not work with most aftermarket cab antenna mounts. If used with a 35-inch tire, the tire carrier puts the tire too far away from the tailgate, which may prove too much for the entire Mor/ryde tailgate reinforcement kit.
