Nutritionist's Take
The Ontel Gopher 2 Pick-Up and Reaching Tool is not a food product and does not directly have nutritional benefits. However, it serves an important role for individuals with limited mobility, promoting physical activity by encouraging them to reach for items without straining. This can contribute to overall health by preventing injury and supporting independence. While this tool does not contain ingredients or health claims in the dietary sense, it's suitable for different users, including the elderly and those recovering from injuries. It eliminates the need for bending or stretching excessively, which can be crucial for joint health and injury prevention. Thus, while not related to nutrition, its ergonomic design promotes healthier living by enhancing accessibility and physical activity.
Ontel Reaching Aids BHBUSAZIN028619 Editorial Review
Ontel Gopher 2 Pick-Up and Reaching Tool is a gripping device ideal for picking up relatively small and lightweight objects like bottles, lotion, and tissue boxes. It can hold items that are four to five inches in diameter, weighing not more than half a pound, and can lift canned vegetables and smaller soup cans. The suction cup feature makes it different from other tools on the market. However, it can break easily and has a tendency to loosen up over time. Its length is 32 inches fully extended and folds to about 16 inches. This tool is easy to use; all you need to do is slide the black handle forward. It has a small peg at the end of the arm that hooks into the side of the handle, which may be stiff when new. Unfortunately, the packaging and diagrams do not show the peg, causing confusion for some users. Overall, Ontel Gopher 2 Pick-Up and Reaching Tool is a useful tool to have in the house, especially for those with disabilities such as arthritis and back pains. However, the tool would benefit from some improvements, such as better packaging and instructions.
