Drama Editorial Review
The Humans - DVD is a slow-burn, intense film adapted from the Tony-winning play by Stephen Karam, delving into the dark complexities of family dynamics during Thanksgiving. The movie features outstanding performances from a small, talented cast navigating personal demons in an unsettling apartment, which acts as a significant character itself. While some viewers may find the pacing and its theatrical essence absorbing, others might be put off by the bleak narrative and horror-like atmosphere that accompanies the familial gathering. With gripping dialogues and an exploration of universal human fears, this film leaves a lasting impression, beckoning contemplation after viewing.
