The book is essential for challenging classes, and the solutions can be easily found on Chegg. Unfortunately, the Kindle edition has been reported as annoying to use. The downside to the book is the unfortunate amount of typos, leading to confusion and a sense of mystery surrounding the organisation of the book. The polynomial regression chapters, in particular, are lacking, with the bizarre pseudocode requiring frequent Consultation of the errata. The book is not recommended for those looking to learn how to write a program.
