What are the signs that my Breakaway Switch Kit needs replacing?

Signs that the BRK2505 Breakaway Switch Kit may need replacing include visible damage to the switch housing, rust or corrosion on connectors, or consistent failure to activate the brakes when needed. How often should the Breakaway Switch Kit be tested?

It is recommended to test the BRK2505 Breakaway Switch Kit before and after long trips or when making any alterations to your towing setup. Routine testing ensures that the switch reliably activates the brakes of the towed vehicle in case of disconnection. Regular checks help identify any potential issues early, allowing for timely maintenance, which is key for a safe towing experience.

What should I do if the Breakaway Switch does not activate?

If the BRK2505 Breakaway Switch does not activate when tested, first check the connection points and ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
