Harvey's Wood Filler Editorial Review
The Harvey 43050 Professional Grade Plumbers Putty has garnered mixed reviews from customers, particularly from professionals in the plumbing industry. While the putty is intended for serious plumbing applications, several users have reported issues with product quality right out of the box. One plumber specifically noted that upon receipt, the putty was dry and unusable, which is a significant concern for those relying on the product for their work. Additionally, customers have highlighted the product's safety warnings, which indicate that it contains chemicals that could pose serious health risks, including carcinogenic properties. This has made some users hesitant to even handle the product, with one reviewer stating they didn't open the lid out of concern for its potential health effects. The usage advisories, such as avoiding application on plastic and porous materials and the recommendation to wear eye protection, contribute to a perception that this product may not be suitable for all plumbing needs, especially for those less experienced or mindful of safety. Overall, while the intention of the product appears to be solid, the execution has left many customers disappointed due to quality control issues and health-related concerns. **
