island Editorial Review
The remastered edition of Cat Stevens' album "Izitso" has been received warmly by fans and critics alike, reaffirming the iconic musician's continued relevance in the music landscape. With the presence of notable tracks such as "Old Schoolyard", "Killing Time", and "I Never Wanted To Be A Star", listeners appreciate Stevens' ability to craft enjoyable music, even in his later works. While some fans note that the songs may not reach the same heights of memorability as his earlier classics, the album does offer a compelling blend of instrumentation and synthesizers, evidenced in tracks like "Sweet Jamaica" and "Remember the Days". The craftsmanship in the songwriting, coupled with the sonic quality achieved in this release, allows "Izitso" to stand out as a substantial addition to Cat Stevens' discography. Overall, it’s a delightful experience for long-time followers and new listeners alike. **
