Spicer 5-188X U-Joint Kit 1480 Series (OSR)

The Spicer 5-188X U-Joint Kit has garnered a varied reception among customers, with experiences emphasizing both quality and significant compatibility issues. On one hand, customers have lauded the product for its overall Construction, stating that the quality is "second to none." However, this praise is sharply contrasted by frustrations stemming from the product not fitting certain vehicle applications as claimed. A key complaint arises from customers who found that despite the kit being advertised as compatible with their vehicles—specifically a 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 HD—upon installation, the dimensions did not align correctly. Many reported that the u-joints were longer than expected, which rendered them unusable in their vehicles. In some cases, these customers discovered that essential parts, such as snap rings, were missing from the kit, leading to further frustrations as they attempted to source these components separately. The discrepancies between the product specifications and the actual fit leave a significant gap in customer satisfaction, particularly for those who relied on the vehicle finder tool to make their purchasing decision. As a result, users who intended to tackle installation have faced roadblocks that disrupt their maintenance or repair schedules. In summary, while the Spicer 5-188X U-Joint Kit boasts impressive quality and Construction, potential buyers should exercise caution regarding compatibility with their specific vehicle models to avoid frustration and delays. **
