Looking for a cinematic masterpiece that depicts the raw brutality of war? Look no further than Come and See The Criterion Collection [Blu-ray]. Soviet director Elem Klimov's legendary film plunges you into the horrors of war, following teenage Flyora (Alexei Kravchenko) as he eagerly joins the Soviet resistance against Nazi forces invading his small village in Belorussia. You'll also get interviews with Klimov, Kravchenko, and production designer Viktor Petrov, as well as a short film about the making-of process. If you're a fan of Criterion Collection Blu-rays, this Come and See release is a must-have.
