The Fender '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb is a definitive, loud amp with two different-sounding sections, both of which allow users to use tremolo and reverb effects. Despite its low wattage, it is powerful enough for medium or small clubs. One user advised using a drive pedal for distortion at a reasonable volume. Another recommended replacing the cheaper tubes with preamp tubes to address the 10-minute white noise issue. The amp has a spanky clean Fender tone, but headroom is not typical of most Fenders, and its reverb is a bit much for small dials. Some users did not experience any problems; however, some encountered noise and reverb popping issues, which a few attributed to Fender's manufacturing issues. Nonetheless, many customers had positive feedback and recommended the amp.
