What is the brightness output of the Makita DML815 flashlight?

The Makita DML815 flashlight boasts an impressive brightness output of 160 lumens. This powerful illumination makes it suitable for various tasks such as working in dimly lit areas, outdoor activities, or emergency situations. The high lumen count provides a bright and focused beam, ensuring visibility in even the darkest conditions.

Is the Makita DML815 compatible with other Makita batteries?

Yes, the DML815 flashlight is compatible with all Makita 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries. This compatibility allows users to interchange batteries among their tools, maximizing efficiency and reducing downtime. Whether you’re using it for professional projects or DIY tasks, the ability to use existing batteries enhances convenience.

How long does the battery last when using the DML815 flashlight?

The runtime of the Makita DML815 flashlight varies depending on the battery used. For instance, when paired with a 3.0Ah battery, it can last up to 6 hours on a single charge. This extended runtime is ideal for prolonged use in industries such as construction or for outdoor adventures where access to recharging may be limited.

Can the DML815 be used in wet conditions?

The Makita DML815 flashlight is designed with durability in mind and features a protective housing. However, while it is resistant to some degree of moisture, it is not fully waterproof. It works well for light rain or damp environments, which makes it good for outdoor maintenance or emergencies, but users should avoid exposing it to heavy rain.

What is the weight of the Makita DML815 flashlight?

The Makita DML815 weighs approximately 1.2 pounds without a battery. This lightweight design makes it easy to handle and carry, making it a great option for anyone who needs a portable light source, such as electricians or contractors working in the field or even campers needing a reliable flashlight.

Does the flashlight come with a charger?

The Makita DML815 is sold as a standalone flashlight, which means it does not include a charger or battery. This design allows users who already own Makita tools to utilize their existing batteries. It offers flexibility for those who prefer to customize their toolsets by purchasing individual components.

What type of bulb does the DML815 use?

The Makita DML815 flashlight utilizes an L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode) bulb, which is known for its energy efficiency and longevity. L.E.D. bulbs produce a bright light while consuming less power, making them an ideal choice for extended use. They are perfect for jobs requiring reliable lighting without frequently replacing bulbs.

What makes the Makita DML815 suitable for job sites?

The Makita DML815 flashlight is designed for rugged use, featuring a robust construction that can withstand the wear and tear of job sites. Its portability, bright illumination, and long runtime make it a reliable companion for professionals like contractors or technicians working in dark environments, such as attics or basements.

Can the DML815 flashlight be adjusted for focus?

The Makita DML815 flashlight does not feature a zoom or focus adjustment; it has a fixed beam. However, its design ensures a wide and even distribution of light, which is beneficial for providing general illumination in workspaces. This fixed beam is suitable for tasks that require consistent lighting across a wider area.
