Disco Editorial Review
This compilation CD has struck a chord with fans of 80s dance music, especially those who cherish the energetic and pulsating sounds of the high-energy genre. It features a well-curated selection of 12-inch versions of classic tracks, many of which were staples during the disco era and resonate with those who were active in the DJ scene of that time. Reviewers express their enthusiasm for the inclusion of iconic songs such as Pamela Stanley's "Coming out of Hiding," along with other crowd-pleasers that capture the vibrant spirit of the decade. Critics note the overall quality of the sound and the impressive variety of tracks, highlighting that most selections from the TSR vault showcase the original U.S. mixes, which maintains authenticity for audiophiles. However, there are minor quibbles regarding the last few tracks, with some listeners feeling that they detract from an otherwise stellar lineup. Notably, the longing for the original mix of popular tracks not included leads to some disappointment, but this doesn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment of the collection. For lovers of 80s disco, this collection stands out as a valuable resource for party-goers and collectors alike, and its affordability compared to individual track purchases from original albums is commended. Overall, it is hailed as an essential addition to any high-energy dance music library. **
