XX Science Kits & Toys Editorial Review
The excavation set has garnered enthusiastic feedback from parents and kids alike, praised for its ability to engage children in a hands-on, imaginative activity. Parents noted that their children, particularly those around age 7 to 8, were captivated by the process of digging into the clay blocks to uncover hidden treasures. This product serves as an effective alternative to screen time, allowing kids to immerse themselves in a creative and exploratory experience. Many reviewers highlighted the prolonged focus children exhibited, with some spending upwards of two hours engaged in the activity. Some users suggested practical tips for enhancing the experience, such as using a newspaper as a work surface and softening the plaster shapes with water for easier excavation. However, one parent did mention an unfortunate disappointment regarding the absence of "fools gold" in one of the gold bars, indicating that expectations for the included treasures should be managed. Overall, the excavation set has proven to be a delightful and engaging tool for children's playtime, providing hours of educational fun while nurturing their curiosity and problem-solving skills. **
