Prosoco Joint Sealants Editorial Review
Prosoco R-Guard Joint & Seam Filler is a great product that works as described to seal gaps between different building materials. It is perfect for applications such as sill plate to a foundation wall or slab, air-sealing T&G subfloor seams, and sealing the bottom of patio walls where they intersect concrete. It is a moisture-cured product and is designed to provide a permanent barrier to water, air, and insects. The product comes in a 20oz container, and one needs a sausage gun to dispense. The working time varies somewhat depending on humidity and air movement, but it usually takes 15+ minutes to skin over. The product cures to a rubberish mastic finish that provides a reliable seal. However, the product can be messy, and one needs to wear gloves and clothes they do not care about while applying it. The shelf life for the product is one year if stored appropriately.
